F.A.I.T.H.

In your personal opinion, what do you understand it takes for a person to go to Heaven? Well, here is how the Bible answers that question. You can remember the answer by remembering the word F.A.I.T.H..

F orgiveness

We cannot have eternal life and Heaven without God's forgiveness.
"In Him (meaning Jesus) we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins" (Ephesians 1:7)

A vailable

God's forgiveness is available. It is...

Available for all
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. That whoever (YOU) believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

But it's not automatic
"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of Heaven." (Matthew 7:21)

I mpossible

It is impossible for God to allow sin into Heaven. Even though God is love (John 3:16) God is also...

Just
"For judgement is without mercy" (James 2:13)

But it is also imossible because...

Man Is Sinful
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

So, how can a sinful person enter Heaven, where God allows no sin?

T urn

If you were driving down the road and someone asked you to turn they would be asking you to change direction. To turn means to repent.

We have to...

Turn From Something (Sin and self)
"But unless you repent you will all likewise perish." (Luke 13:3)

And then we have to...

Turn To Someone (Trust Christ Only)
"Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures." (1 Corinthians 15:3b-4)

"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)

If you are willing to turn then you can experience...

H eaven

Heaven is eternal life! We do get a bit of Heaven...

Here
(Jesus said), "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)

But, more importantly heaven will be in the...

Hereafter
(Jesus said), "And if I go prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also." (John 14:3)

So, how can you have God's forgiveness, Heaven and eternal life, and Jesus as personal Savior and Lord?

Well, F.A.I.T.H. can also stand for... Forsaking All I Trust Him

Remember, Romans 10:9: "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

So, understanding what you have seen here, would you like to receive this forgiveness by trusting in Christ as your personal Savior and Lord?

Why not pray this prayer:
Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I need forgiveness for my sins. I believe that You sent Your Son Jesus to die for the forgiveness of my sins and that that He rose again on the third day. I want to invite Him into my heart now as my Savior and Lord, receive that forgiveness I need and commit my life to become a disciple of Christ's from this day forward. Thank You for the blessing of salvation! In Jesus name I pray, AMEN
